General FAQs
Try to keep the space as tidy and uncluttered as possible. Remove personal items, unnecessary objects, or anything that distracts from the room’s layout. A clean, clear space helps ensure the best visualization and a more polished final result.
Please send clear, well-lit photos taken at eye level. Avoid using wide-angle lenses, such as those set at 24mm or wider, as they can distort the room and make the layout harder to work with. If you’re using a smartphone, try to avoid the 0.5x, which is an ultra-wide setting — instead, use the standard 1x zoom for a more natural view. Make sure the photo shows the entire room from corner to corner when possible, and avoid strong shadows or glare. Natural daylight usually gives the best results.
Yes. If something doesn’t feel quite right, let us know — we offer minor revisions at no additional cost.
Turnaround time depends on the type of service and the scope of the project. Most virtual staging projects are delivered within 48 hours, depending on the number of rooms and complexity. For Virtual Planning and Virtual Renovation, timelines can vary more widely. We’ll include an estimated delivery time in the quote when we send you your project estimate.
Go to the Quote & Process page to submit your photos along with a description of the services you need. Within 36 hours (or sooner), we’ll email you an estimate and a project ID. Once you receive it, return to the Quote & Process page, enter your project ID, and submit your payment information to place the order.
Virtual Staging FAQs
- Set your camera or phone to the highest quality setting.
- Choose a lens that captures a wide view without distortion — the ideal range is 16–24mm. On smartphones, use the standard 1x lens and avoid the 0.5x ultra-wide.
- Take photos at eye level — avoid shooting too high or too low.
- Stand in a corner to capture the full layout of the room.
- Hold your camera steady, or use a tripod to keep the image sharp and clear.
Yes, we can digitally remove furniture or decor from your photos before staging. This involves two separate processes: object removal and virtual staging, each with its own cost. If your photo contains existing items that need to be cleared, we’ll include both services in your estimate.
We offer a range of styles such as modern, coastal, farmhouse, traditional, and more. When you upload your photo on the Quote & Process page, you’ll be able to select your preferred style from a list of options.
Absolutely. We aim for natural-looking, photo-realistic results that blend seamlessly into your original photo.
Virtual Planning FAQs
Virtual Planning is about rethinking how a space is arranged — including furniture layout, style, flow, and color coordination — without involving any construction or structural changes.
Virtual Planning focuses on layout and design decisions, while Virtual Renovation visually shows cosmetic updates like new flooring, cabinetry, or wall finishes. Planning doesn’t involve any visual remodeling, just thoughtful arrangement of space.
Yes. We can suggest new layouts using your existing furniture or help visualize your ideas. If you’d like to explore a different furniture style, we can show that too.
Absolutely. Virtual Planning is perfect for unfurnished spaces. You can share your ideas and preferences, or we can suggest a layout based on how you plan to use the room.
Please provide clear photos of the space (furnished or unfurnished) taken from multiple corners. A basic 2D floor plan sketch (bird’s-eye view) with rough measurements — it doesn’t need to be to scale or professional. Lastly, include a short description of your needs, how you plan to use the space, and let us know if there are any must-include furniture pieces you’d like to keep in the layout.
Virtual Renovation FAQs
Virtual Renovation shows how a space could look after remodeling — including visual changes like new flooring, cabinetry, or removing or adding structural elements. It focuses on reimagining the structure and finishes of a space, helping you explore potential transformations before starting a real renovation.
Yes. You can let us know your preferred look — for example, modern white cabinets, wood floors, or dark accent walls — and we’ll incorporate them into the design.
Please provide clear photos of the space taken from multiple angles, along with basic measurements of the room and any key features (such as wall lengths, ceiling height, or window placements). If you have ideas, sample images, or preferred styles, feel free to share them — we’ll use those to guide the renovation design.
Absolutely. The final Virtual Renovation images are a great way to communicate your vision and explore design ideas with your contractor. Just keep in mind that these visuals are for reference only and are not construction drawings or construction plans.
